Mountain Trails – 6 Nights / 7 Days

Day 01

Meet guest on arrival (morning hours) at Airport and transfer to Kandy, the last capital city of the Sri Lankan Kings. The Kandy city lies in the midst of hills in the Kandy plateau, which crosses an area of tropical plantations, mainly tea. Kandy is the home of The Temple of the Tooth Relic, one of the most sacred places of worship in the Buddhist world. It was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1988. Visit the Sacred Temple, the Kandy lake, the Gem museum and witness the splendors of a colorful Cultural dance show in the evening.

Day 02

After breakfast, visit the Royal Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya, famous for its extensive native & exoticplant collection. Then proceed to NuwaraEliya, which is situated at the heart of the southern hill country. This is also Sri Lanka’s highest town and favorite vacation point during the British Colonial times. The town is also known as Little England. En-route, visit Ramboda Waterfalls, Tea factory & Tea plantation. In NuwaraEliya, engage in a city tour, including the Golf Course, Gregory’s Lake, Victoria Park, Race Course, Colonial Hotels, etc.

Day 03

After breakfast, visit Horton Plains, a windswept plateau over 2000m in elevation. The Plains provide excellent trekking and opportunities to enjoy wildlife such as Samba deer, many endemic bird species, reptiles, amphibians and if lucky, the sighting of an elusive leopard may be possible. Walk your way through Bakers waterfalls and to World’s End viewing point, where the cliff plunges dramatically offering breathtaking views.

Day 04

After breakfast, proceed to Ella via Bandarawela. Ella is blessed with some of the most beautiful views, you could find in Sri Lanka. This small town is used as a base for plenty of trekking expeditions to the surrounding countryside. In Ella, visit the Demodara Nine Arches Railway Bridge, Ravana Cave and Ravana Waterfalls.

Day 05

After breakfast, travel to Ella and engage in a full day hiking trail to visit Ella Rock and Ella Gap.

Day 06

After breakfast, proceed to Colombo. On arrival, enjoy city tour of Colombo and visit sightseeing spots such as Independence Square, Colombo Museum, Galle Face Green, Presidential Secretariat and Dutch Hospital Shopping Precinct, etc. and avail some time to shop for your souvenirs.

Transfer to Airport & Departure as per flight schedule.
