Nature trails of interest include the Knuckles Mountain range, the central mountains in Ella, the Horton Plains, ascent to “Sri Pada” the holy mountain, the Sinharaja Rain forest and the Hakgala Strict Natural Reserve. The mountainous terrain also provides opportunities for rock climbing, cave treks, paragliding, absailing and mountain biking.
